From the first crystalline notes of acoustic and chiming electric guitar on ‘Better Than Me’ we’re plunged into a beautiful, placid sea of interweaving guitars, currents of rolling drums and a honeyed, reverbed voice, courtesy of Kathy Leisen, purring out cryptic lyrics.
